This website was built to collect commonly used URLs for me, a Hanzi (Chinese Character) enthusiast. I originally wanted to build a site for the Xdin Aho, but found someone had already done it. So, I could only build one for Hanzi, particularly Shuzi (Folk Variants), a hobby that seems slightly sophisticated. Writing so much here is also purely to make my website look a bit more substantial.

Enjoy

Just to clarify, the ranking above is in no particular order, and no distinction regarding "amateur science"...
(Although Huang Quefei going directly to the Beijing Language Commission to make a scene was... so romantic! It feels very evocative once you understand the background story of the Xidi language ww)

The Simplified Character Reform is my "gray history"... The reason I call it "gray history" instead of "black history" (dark/shameful history) is that it doesn't necessarily need to be called a black history. After all, it's not a huge stain; I've said before that this stuff is just mental gymnastics.
But why call it "gray history"? ... Putting aside that I didn't reference any formal websites for the first few articles, many of the character changes inside are so schizophrenic... It turned out like this without a firm concept or solid knowledge base...

Huang Quefei's Xidi Language is included here mainly because his Xidi language (if I understand correctly) involves the latinization of Chinese character components. In this view, it counts as a recreation of Hanzi, or simply writing Hanzi in a Latin format.

Why did ancient books, which were intended for the Documents section, appear here?
Because I couldn't find any websites collecting modern folk characters!

Japan has done a great job, at least they have websites collecting folk characters (Ryakuji). Hong Kong and Taiwan also have a Wikipedia page. But for the mainland, I really haven't found any so far. This must be the success of Simplified Chinese...

But if anyone knows of any government websites collecting folk characters...
Please hack into this website and tell me!

Note: The "My Collection of Folk Characters" above refers to the folk characters collected by myself.

Afterword

Ah, as expected... not many books...
Most are saved on my computer. So, I didn't include too many here.

Why include some Stroke Order learning websites? Just to quickly check what a character looks like in Hong Kong, Taiwan, or Japanese standards.

That "Above Sources" is actually the Wikipedia page for "List of Hanzi Standards"... Why didn't I just say Wikipedia? Because writing something vague makes it look professional, right? (Just kidding)

So what's the difference between this and the Hanzi Recreation above?
Indeed, there's no difference, except that any Hanzi recreation creators I discover from now on will be updated here, because those three boxes are seriously spaghetti code...

If I understand correctly, Torango and Lingalese borrow Hanzi for phonetic notation like Man'yōgana, so I don't know how to classify them, or even if they count as Hanzi recreation. But I added them to "Others" anyway.
The only information left for Prime Script (Su Zi) is a blog; his original website is down, and I can't even search for a single image. The only image I could find is in this video...

Regardless of why he made it disappear without a trace, it's a bit sad overall. Like a small town that no one ever visited, growing silently, existing silently, and finally disappearing silently; when later generations accidentally discover the ruins of this small town, the town is long uninhabited. Everywhere is busy, no one recorded this town, only the small town lived lonely until all traces were gone.

Sad
